How early should I book a blue cruise?
For July-August weeks we recommend booking four to six months ahead, and two to three months ahead for May-June and September. Early and late in the season last-minute opportunities exist; write to our reservations team for availability.
What does the price include?
The vessel, captain and crew, insurance, equipment (kayaks, snorkels, paddle boards) and bed linen and towels are included. Fuel, harbour and provisioning allowance (APA) and alcoholic drinks are shown separately. See the itemised breakdown in the price calculator.
When is the deposit due and how much is it?
30% of the charter fee is taken as a deposit when the contract is signed and the balance is paid 30 days before the cruise. Payment can be made by card, bank transfer or foreign cards.
Is cruising with children safe?
Yes. All vessels carry child-sized life jackets and deck nets are rigged for little ones. Catamarans, with flat decks and little roll, are especially suitable for families with babies.
Can I choose the route and ports?
Our suggested routes are a starting point. Each evening the captain plans the next day with you taking into account weather, sea state and your wishes. The safety side of any routing decision always rests with the captain.
Can we visit the Greek islands?
Cruises to nearby islands such as Kos, Rhodes, Symi and Kastellorizo are possible. Guests are responsible for a passport valid for at least six months and any required visa; the captain handles entry and exit formalities. Call us for visa guidance.
What licence is needed for a bareboat charter?
At least one person must hold a Yacht Master or Short-Range Yacht Master licence (or an equivalent such as the ICC) and documented sailing experience within the last three years.
What happens if the cruise is lost to bad weather?
The captain may halt the cruise for safety reasons. If more than 24 hours of the cruise are lost, unused days are refunded or carried to next season. The terms are written in the contract.
Are special menus prepared for diets and allergies?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free menus are prepared. Just state allergy information on the booking form and our chef provisions accordingly.
What is the difference between a day trip and a weekly cruise?
Day trips run 09:30-17:30 with lunch and swim stops, without accommodation. On a weekly cruise you sleep in the cabins and anchor in a different cove each evening.
